Summer Picnic to Poonch town
This school not only believes in providing education but provide holistic growth of children through various activites like outings, debates, picnics, visits to places of interest and lectures. In this regards the school activily takes part in the Poonch Link-up Day Celebrations by participating in singing and dancing. The tiny tots of the school have made a mark in the function with their patriotic songs and energitic dances. Recently the children of the school were taken for a Picnic to Poonch town where they were looked after at the Khanna Officers Institute grounds. They enjoyed the summer outing by playing various games and utilising the facilities at the institute. They were taken to the "Naman Sthal" where a memorial of the martyres who have given their lives for the protection of Poonch is located. The children were told about the importance of the monument. As part of imparting religious tolerance to the children, they were taken to " Gurudwara Nagali Sahab" located in the town. The children after visiting the temple ate at the Langar organised by the Gurudwara. This trip was the first outing for many children who have joined the AGS recently.
